senegal & casamance province

The Casamance province is located in southern Senegal. More than 10 languages are spoken in the area, including Diola, Mandinga, Wolok, Fulaar, French, Portuguese Creole. 

Basse casamance

Located on the west of the Province, the Basse Casamance faces the Atlantic Ocean. Its lands are green, full of forests, rice fields and rivers called "Bolongs". The capital Ziguinchor, was founded in 1645 by the portuguese. Source: Casamance Impluvium
