Binta y la gran idea

Binta and the Great Idea is a Spanish-Senegalese co-production short film by director Javier Fesser. It is approximately 30 minutes long, with dialogue in French and Diola. The film shows some of the traditional Diola ways of life. It tells the story of Soda,  a young girl who wants to go to school but her father will not let her go because he believes that girls should not be educated.  The village children put on a play to convince Soda's father to let her attend school.....

A great film and the perfect introduction to the Diola universe, don't miss it!
